Η coca cola original taste είναι το αναψυκτικό που το απολαμβάνουν καταναλωτές σε 200 χώρες σε όλο τον πλανήτη, καταναλώνοντας 1,7 δισεκατομμύρια μερίδες ημερησίως.  Η coca cola original taste δημιουργήθηκε το 1886 από έναν φαρμακοποιό στην Ατλάντα, τον Dr John Pemberton. Ένα απόγευμα, ο φαρμακοποιός παρασκεύασε ένα αρωματικό, καραμελένιο υγρό και, μόλις το ολοκλήρωσε, το μετέφερε στο φαρμακείο του Τζέικομπς. Εκεί το μείγμα συνδυάστηκε με ανθρακούχο νερό και δόθηκε δειγματοληπτικά σε πελάτες που επισκέπτονταν το φαρμακείο, οι οποίοι παραδέχτηκαν ότι αυτό το νέο ρόφημα είχε κάτι το ιδιαίτερο. Έκτοτε η coca cola διατέθηκε προς πώληση για πέντε σεντς το ποτήρι.

 Έκτοτε μεσολάβησαν διάφορα στάδια στην εξέλιξη της coca cola μέχρι να φτάσει στη μορφή που την ξέρουμε σήμερα. Από άστοχα επιχειρηματικά βήματα μέχρι κακόβουλες ενέργειες. Τελικά, το ταπεινό “τονωτικό υγείας” εξελίχθηκε σε ένα από τα πιο γνωστά εμπορικά σήματα στον κόσμο.
